Caroline Courtright Studio Tour
Artist Bio
I have made art for most of my life yet it wasn’t until I actively studied Anthropology and saw how cultures incorporate their presence in nature into their daily lives and into their art that I realized the transformative experience of making art.
So with a degree in Anthropology I went into an apprenticeship with a fine goldsmith learning fabrication and silversmithing. I worked with silver and gemstones for twenty years participating in many juried shows and exhibiting in galleries.
I was introduced to watercolor and taught in the Artist in the Classroom program in California schools. As I became familiar with ceramics I had a ceramic earring business and later managed a production company making handmade studio art tile for a very creative artist who did beautiful custom installations.
It is with great pleasure that I find painting fulfills my creative spirit and my quest for communicating the inspiration of nature onto canvas.
